French Guiana Liberation Movement

[Independentist flag]by Zeljko Heimer

The independists use a flag divided per bend yellow over green with a five pointed star in the middle. Proportions 2:3. The star's dimension is one third of the wide of the flag.

Pascal Vagnat, 13 March 1996

This looks like the flag of the Brasilian state of Acre: yellow over green diagonally bottom hoist - top fly, with the red star in the yellow.

Acre and French Guiana do not border one to each other exactely, but they are not so far off not to be influenced. Or maybe, it is a coincidence. However, green and yellow are seen on many Brasilian flags, and diagonal partition is also not unusual.

Tam-Tam Front for the Liberation of Guiana

[Tam-Tam Front]by Ivan Sache

The above flag did not seem familiar to me, so I had a look at Mr. Pasch's old letters and found a drawing with the same colors, but the flag was vertically divided in green and yellow (green to the hoist), with the red star in the centre. This, he wrote, was the flag of the "Tam-Tam Front for the Liberation of Guiana".

Thanh-Tam Lê, 4 December 1998

This flag was shown in Le Spectacle du Monde #167, p. 33, Paris, February 1976, quoted in Flaggenmitteilung 17.

Jaume Ollé, 31 July 2001
